We cannot help you set up a developer environment on a RaspberryPi or any other device. This curriculum only supports using a laptop, desktop or supported Chromebook. We do not recommend installing an OS that is only based on Ubuntu (like Mint, Pop!_OS, ElementaryOS, etc). Our instructions have been tested with MacOS, Ubuntu, and official flavors of Ubuntu. There are no dirty hacks required-it just works.We can only support the operating systems indicated above.

Rather than attempting to install the open source version of Chrome OS or a Linux distribution designed to look like Chrome OS, you can just install a Linux distribution with a lightweight desktop environment-or any desktop environment, really-and use Chrome on that. Any lightweight Linux distribution can work well, providing a minimal desktop where you can run Chrome-or another browser, like Firefox. Google officially supports Chrome on Linux.
